In Wealtie: a monthly budget of €2,400 for needs and wants, and a transfer of €600 to savings on payday. Transfers never count against the budget.
Three numbers instead of thirty
Half your take-home pay for what you have to pay, 30% for what you choose, and 20% for savings and debt. The rule is a starting point, not a verdict: change the split when your rent says so.
What people ask about the split
Take your monthly take-home pay — after tax — and multiply by 0.5 for needs, 0.3 for wants and 0.2 for savings and debt. On €3,000 a month that's €1,500, €900 and €600.
Start with 50/30/20. If your needs don't fit in half your pay, 60/20/20 keeps savings at 20% by cutting wants; 70/20/10 is for a tight year when saving something matters more than saving the full fifth.
No. It runs in your browser, nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is stored.
A calculator sets it. An app keeps it.
Set the needs-and-wants total as your monthly budget in Wealtie. Budget Health tells you mid-month whether you're on pace to keep it.
