Mint alternatives: Mint is gone. The free budget doesn’t have to be.
Intuit closed Mint in 2024 and moved its users to Credit Karma. If you came for the budget rather than the credit score, here are the apps people moved to, on the same six questions, each quoted from its own website.
| Feature | Wealtie | YNAB | Monarch | Spendee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free plan | Yes, with no time limit and no card | No. 34-day free trial, no card needed | No. The first week is free | Yes: 1 cash wallet and 1 budget |

What Mint did, and where it is in Wealtie
Most of it is here. The part that isn't is the one Mint was built on: the bank feed.
- Free
- Wealtie's free plan has no time limit and no card: two accounts, ten categories, a monthly budget and an income goal.
- Every account in one total
- Card, cash and savings in one net worth, each account in its own currency.
- Budgets by category
- One monthly limit, split by category, with a warning mid-month if your pace will take you over.
- Bills and subscriptions
- Set a payment to repeat and it logs itself on the due date. One on Free, unlimited on Pro.
- Bank sync
- Not in Wealtie, by design. Nothing is imported: you log what you spend in a few taps, cash included.
Which one fits you
The real question a Mint user has to answer is whether the bank feed was the point.
Choose a syncing app if
- You want transactions to appear without logging them, the way Mint worked.
- You'd like to stay with Intuit: Mint's features moved to Credit Karma. Monarch and YNAB sync too, and are paid after a trial.
- You want a web dashboard as well as a phone app.
Choose Wealtie if
- You want a free plan with a real budget, not a trial.
- You'd rather not hand a bank login to another app after Mint.
- Your accounts are in more than one currency.
- You want a warning mid-month and a streak for every month you keep the budget.
What Mint users ask before they switch
If you used Mint for the budget, Wealtie has a free plan with no time limit: a monthly budget and income goal, a mid-month warning, two accounts and ten categories, on iPhone and Android. It never connects to a bank, so you log what you spend. If you want transactions to appear by themselves the way Mint did, Intuit moved Mint's features to Credit Karma, and Monarch and YNAB sync with banks but are paid after a trial.
Intuit closed Mint in March 2024 and moved its users to Credit Karma, which Intuit also owns. Mint's own site now says Mint has been reimagined on Credit Karma.
No. Wealtie doesn't import transactions from any app or bank. You add each account with the balance it has today and log from there, so your history in Wealtie starts the day you do.
Yes, the same in every country. With no bank connection there is no list of supported banks, and it handles 68 currencies, each account in its own, in 18 languages.

Free again. No bank login this time.
Add your accounts with today's balances, set a budget and log what you spend. The free plan has no time limit, so there's nothing to cancel if it isn't for you.
